Pro advice? Switch to Bitwig Studio before its too late so you can buy MPE Controllers when you inevitably get into them because you want more kinetic control over your libraries.īut as someone's who's had both a Launchkey 25 and now has a Komplete Kontrol S25 MKI (not the new MKII) I like quick flicking through all my presets and virtual instruments with the knobs on the KK but most the time I know what stuff I wanna load up beforehand and just go load it lol. Both have pros and cons and being at the end of my budget I want to get the one that is most flexible.

I also have an APC mini so I have that covered.Īnybody that has experience with these two would have invaluable information for me and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Will the Novation map to these instruments in Ableton? Also does the Komplete Kontrol automatically map to Absynth and Massive? However, since I use a lot of the Komplete 12 stuff it seems that having automatic mapping for Kontakt instruments would be very handy. The Novation series goes right into Ableton which makes it very tempting since it also has aftertouch and velocity sensitive keys. East West Composer Cloud, Sylenth, and a score of other nice VSTs I have collected. I have Ableton Live Studio, Komplete 12 with heavy use of Massive and Absynth 5.

I’m looking at the low budget A49 key variants. I am having a hell of a time deciding between the Novation Keylaunch line and Komplete Kontrol. Some things have changed in Midi and some have not. I am getting back into music after 20 something odd years.
